The Home Depot Builds Unified Customer Experience with Visibility from ExtraHop

The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer with more than 2,200 stores, aimed to deliver a seamless "One Home Depot" experience across online and in-store channels. To support that goal, its Technology team needed end-to-end visibility across a complex, distributed environment—from datacenters to nearly 2,300 remote sites (stores, distribution and fulfillment centers, call centers, and offices)—because datacenter-only tools left gaps when diagnosing performance issues.

The team extended ExtraHop analytics to those remote locations, collecting real-time telemetry at the retail edge to monitor availability, latency, volume, and errors and to enable proactive troubleshooting and chain-wide analytics. The rollout improved associate and customer experience, demonstrated double-digit performance gains from an infrastructure upgrade (with some response times improving over 40%), and provided unified visibility across the entire environment.
