OCBC Indonesia Improves Security Hygiene with Unprecedented Network Visibility

OCBC Indonesia, a publicly listed bank with more than 400 branches, needed to ensure excellent network and application performance while defending against increasingly sophisticated threats. The bank lacked East‑West visibility in its internal network with existing monitoring tools, making it hard for security and IT teams to detect malicious behavior, troubleshoot application issues, and integrate smoothly with its SIEM and SOAR stack.

OCBC deployed ExtraHop RevealX, which integrates with existing tools, captures full packets across OSI layers 2–7, decodes 90+ protocols, and natively decrypts TLS/SSL to deliver detailed, accurate detections and forensic data. The result was unprecedented internal visibility—including the DevOps environment—faster investigations and threat response, identification and remediation of vulnerable protocols and cipher suites, and reduced disruption to customer-facing services.
