Axstores Ensures Performance During Critical Application Migration

Axstores, a leading Nordic retail group with over 390 stores across brands like Åhléns and Kicks, needed a more flexible application-performance monitoring approach to support rapid growth, acquisitions, and a move from custom to off‑the‑shelf systems. Their legacy SNMP-based monitoring couldn’t provide holistic, cross‑tier visibility during testing and rollout, making it difficult to isolate root causes of interrelated performance issues.

Working with integrator RADPOINT, Axstores deployed the network‑based ExtraHop APM to gain non‑intrusive, end‑to‑end visibility. The system was quick to install and helped the team pinpoint an application server bug, fix database indexing and query problems, and detect TCP/DNS/IPv6 misconfigurations—reducing deployment risk, improving performance, and prompting plans to expand ExtraHop across datacenters.
