Ulster Rugby Transforms Stadium Matchday Experience With Exterity IP Video and Digital Signage

Ulster Rugby, one of Ireland’s leading professional provincial rugby teams, needed a way to enhance the matchday experience at its redeveloped Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. To support the expanded 18,000-seat venue and its status as a connected stadium, the club wanted to extend its existing Exterity IP video system with integrated digital signage to combine live coverage, visitor information, sponsorship, and promotional content.

Exterity, working through systems integrator Eurotek, deployed an IP video and digital signage solution using AvediaStream, AvediaServer, AvediaPlayer, and ArtioSign. The system now streams live match feeds and TV channels to 96 screens across the stadium, while enabling the commercial team to centrally manage targeted signage for hospitality areas, lounges, the gym, and corporate spaces. The result is a more engaging fan experience and a new way for Ulster Rugby to maximize revenue through sponsorship, advertising, and tailored communications.
