St. Barbara Care Centre Selects Exterity IPTV Solution for Resident Entertainment
St. Barbara Care Centre, a nursing home in Wijbosch, the Netherlands, needed a more modern, future-proof IPTV solution during renovations and new construction. The centre wanted flexibility to add new video sources and keep the system easy to update, while also supporting resident entertainment, chapel service recordings, and BYOD compatibility for both digital and analogue TVs. Exterity was selected to meet these requirements.
Exterity, delivered through system integrator Mansveld and Intronics, implemented an IPTV system built around AvediaServer central management, satellite gateways, encoders, media players, and network switching. The solution provides 25 TV channels to each client and makes chapel services available to immobile residents, while also allowing the system to be expanded with minimal future investment.
