Six Senses Zighy Bay Resort delivers a 5-star Infotainment experience with ArtioGuest

Six Senses Zighy Bay Resort, the luxury 5-star property in Oman, wanted to refresh its in-room infotainment experience to deliver HD video and better support modern guest expectations. Working with Exterity, the resort looked for a more flexible IPTV platform that could improve the guest experience across its 86 villas and replace limitations in its legacy system.

Exterity implemented an upgraded IPTV and guest portal solution based on AvediaPlayer media players, AvediaStream TVgateways, AvediaServer, and the ArtioGuest interface, integrated with Chromecast and the Opera PMS. The result was a reliable, highly customizable in-room entertainment system with HD channels, welcome messaging, billing info, BYOD support, and the ability to add IP-based channels on demand; the original upgrade also delivered 140 TV endpoints and ran for six years with no outages.
