Scarlets Delivers Top-class Fan Experience With an Exterity IPTV Solution

Parc y Scarlets, the professional rugby union team based in south-west Wales, wanted to create a top-class visitor experience at their new Parc y Scarlets stadium by ensuring fans could watch live match coverage from anywhere in the ground. Their challenge was to replace an inflexible traditional coax TV system with a more scalable, cost-effective solution that could support the stadium’s size and future expansion.

Exterity provided a network IPTV and digital signage solution, deployed by partner Link Telecom, delivering live coverage to 56 LCD screens and a 4x7 metre big screen throughout the stadium. The system improved the fan experience, kept staff and players connected to the action, and enabled Parc y Scarlets to promote events, generate advertising and retail revenue, and easily add more screens as needed thanks to Exterity’s scalable IP video platform.
