First Rule Showcases Its Media and Broadcast Services With Exterity’s Video Streaming Solutions

First Rule, the St. Louis-based film and broadcast division of Pelopidas LLC, needed a scalable way to showcase its production capabilities to visiting clients and to stream live TV and video throughout its facility for staff. The company wanted a flexible, robust, centrally managed IPTV system that could deliver different content to multiple screens without relying on coaxial cable, and it chose Exterity’s enterprise IP video solution.

Exterity implemented an end-to-end IP video system centered on AvediaServer for centralized management, three AvediaStream encoders, and 30 AvediaPlayer set-top boxes across First Rule’s facility. The result was cost-effective distribution of live and pre-recorded content to breakout areas, desktops, and edit suites, plus centralized control and content protection; First Rule could also create custom demo channels to better present its services to prospects.
