A Exterity Case Study
The University of Aberdeen needed a flexible, scalable way to deliver live TV and video across campus public areas, lecture halls, sports and village buildings, and the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health. To meet this challenge, the university turned to Exterity and its IP video and digital signage solutions, including AvediaStream encoders, AvediaPlayer receivers, AvediaServer, and a TVgateway.
Exterity implemented a campus-wide IP video system that streams Freeview channels, lecture feeds, graduation ceremonies, and entertainment content to multiple end points, while integrating with third-party digital signage. The result was centralized management and high-quality video delivery across the university’s campuses, improving student, staff, visitor, and volunteer experiences; the deployment included 13 receiver-equipped bedrooms at the Rowett Institute and support for unlimited end points across the network.
