Exterity Technology Powers Cutting-edge IPTV and Digital Signage at United Arab Emirates University

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), the UAE’s flagship national university, needed a reliable AV platform to support a wide range of campus use cases, including IPTV in student housing, digital signage across the campus, and live lecture capture and streaming for Video-on-Demand. The university also wanted a system that could support emergency communications and operate reliably across a large, modern multi-campus environment.

Exterity, working with system integrator RAMCO, implemented an IPTV and digital signage solution using Exterity technology for live TV, VoD, lecture streaming, and digital signage across the university. The deployment covered 30 halls of residence and around 250 digital signage screens within campus, with 500 screens in total available for emergency alerts. The result was a flexible, secure system that was well received by staff and students and strengthened teaching, communications, and distance learning at UAEU.
