Exterity Scores IP Video Deal to Bring 1.1 Million Fans Onside at UEFA European Championship Stadiums

UEFA European Championship stadiums needed to deliver an immersive match-day experience for fans at Euro 2016, even for those seated far from the pitch. To help meet this challenge, vendor Exterity provided IP video and digital signage capabilities to distribute live match coverage and related TV content across stadiums, hospitality/VIP suites, and press areas.

Exterity implemented an end-to-end IP video system with HD and SD encoders, TV gateways, receiver set-top boxes, and AvediaServer centralized management. The solution was deployed in 4 of the 10 tournament venues and used at more than 20 games, reaching over 1 million fans while enabling real-time viewing and supporting media commentary with relevant footage.
