Exterity Professional IPTV System Helps Phoenix TV Beijing Soar

Phoenix TV Beijing, the Beijing office of Hong Kong-based broadcaster Phoenix TV, needed a more integrated IPTV system to support news production, internal communications, and public information displays across four offices. Exterity was selected to help address the challenge of combining multiple video feeds, multiview functionality, and centralized control for 100 endpoints and 40 desktop users.

Exterity implemented a robust IPTV solution built around its AvediaServer, AvediaPlayer Receivers, AvediaStream TVgateways, AvediaStream Encoders, and desktop licenses, with a custom user interface and multiview channel developed in partnership with Cinegy. The system enabled seamless distribution of cable, satellite, and studio signals, plus user permission controls and flexible licensing. As a result, Phoenix TV Beijing gained a scalable, reliable platform tailored to current and future needs, helping ensure smooth day-to-day IPTV operations.
