Exterity Powers Cutting-Edge Student Experience at Scotway House

Scotway House, a nearly 400-student accommodation development in Glasgow’s West End, wanted a modern IPTV and digital signage setup to match its boutique-hotel aesthetic while remaining reliable and easy for staff to update. It worked with Exterity and integrator Interactiv Solutions to deliver a student-focused in-room media and information experience, including a portal for local and accommodation updates and emergency messaging capabilities.

Exterity deployed an end-to-end solution across Scotway House with ArtioGuest, AvediaPlayer media players, AvediaServer, and AvediaStream gateways, plus LG Hospitality SmartTVs, covering more than 260 screens and a 12-screen video wall. The system delivers over 50 TV and radio channels, HD content in common areas, gym, cinema and rooms, and has been highly reliable, with no hardware or software failures reported over the first year and only overnight remote maintenance required.
