Exterity IPTV System Helps Promote Patient Entertainment and Enhance Staff Training at Tobb Etü Hospital

TOBB ETÜ Hospital in Ankara, Turkey, wanted a better way to keep patients and visitors comfortable during long waits and stays, while also supporting staff with accessible training content. The hospital turned to Exterity for an IPTV and digital signage solution to deliver entertainment and information across patient rooms, waiting areas, restaurants, cafes, and staff desktops.

Exterity implemented an IP video system featuring AvediaServer, AvediaStream Gateways and Encoders, and AvediaPlayer media players to serve TV channels, video content, and training materials to 85 patient rooms, 6 public areas, and 28 staff desktops. The result was a reliable, high-quality viewing experience that improved patient and visitor satisfaction and gave staff convenient on-demand access to training and medical information through a centrally managed platform.
