Exterity Helps Retallack Holiday Resort Gain 5-star Status With Site-wide IP Video Solution

Retallack, a family-owned holiday resort in Cornwall, needed to achieve five-star status by providing comprehensive in-room entertainment, along with the ability to personalize content for each chalet with guest welcome messages and promotional videos. Exterity supplied the IP video solution that would help meet these guest-experience requirements, alongside the resort’s broader network upgrade.

Exterity, implemented by Empire Telecom, delivered a site-wide IPTV system over a fibre backbone that replaced the original wireless-only approach. The solution now distributes Freeview, digital, and satellite TV to any endpoint, supports personalized messaging and promotional content, and adds video-on-demand as an extra revenue stream for paid films. The deployment was completed in a matter of days with minimal disruption to guests.
