Exterity Helps Award-winning School District Build a Digitally-enhanced Learning Community in Illinois

High School District 214, the second-largest high school district in Illinois, wanted a more consistent and engaging way to deliver video, announcements, and digital signage across its six high schools and specialized programs. Working with Exterity, the district set out to replace a mix of disconnected systems with a unified platform that could support classroom learning, campus communications, and student engagement.

Exterity implemented an integrated IP video and digital signage solution using AvediaServer, ArtioSign, AvediaStream encoders, and AvediaPlayer receivers. The system now delivers morning announcements, live and recorded video, cable TV channels, emergency messages, and signage to 860 screens in 780 classrooms, plus hallways and staff areas. The result is easier central management, scheduled content by school, and a more cohesive, interactive learning environment across the district.
