Case Study: Alva Hotel by Royal achieves a seamless smart guest experience with Exterity

Alva Hotel by Royal, a new 680-room lifestyle hotel in Hong Kong, wanted to create a modern guest experience with seamless digital signage and in-room infotainment across its resort. To achieve this, it worked with Exterity and integrator SmarTone to find a reliable, flexible hotel TV and communications solution that matched the property’s contemporary design and smart technology focus.

Exterity delivered an STB-less IPTV and digital signage system deployed to more than 700 Sony BRAVIA SmartTVs, using ArtioGuest software to provide guest-room entertainment, 4K channels, Chromecast and Apple iOS mirroring, room controls, and TV-based checkout. The result was a highly reliable, easy-to-use platform that set a new standard for hotel TV experience at Alva Hotel by Royal and gave staff a simpler system to support.
