City of Glasgow College Selects Exterity Solutions to Provide an Interconnected Video Experience Across Its Expanding Campuses

City of Glasgow College, a major Scottish education provider with expanding City and Riverside campuses, needed a scalable way to deliver high-quality TV and video content across classrooms, reception areas, libraries, cafeterias, and halls of residence. To meet this challenge, the college turned to Exterity and its IP video solution to support a tech-savvy student body and improve the overall digital experience.

Exterity deployed a large-scale IP video system integrating AvediaServer, ArtioPortal middleware, AvediaStream gateways and HDMI/SDI encoders, and AvediaPlayer receivers, along with a third-party digital signage platform. The solution now delivers live TV, radio, corporate channels, event information, and college news to more than 200 displays, including a 25-screen video wall, while also supporting video-on-demand content creation; City of Glasgow College plans to extend it further with foreign language channels and SMART projector viewing.
