AIDA Cruises Selects Accommtec to Provide Premium in-cabin Infotainment System

AIDA Cruises, the market leader in the German-speaking cruise market, wanted to enhance the onboard guest experience with a premium in-cabin infotainment system. Working with Exterity’s hospitality division, Accommtec, they needed a solution that combined international TV channels with interactive cruise services, while also being flexible, easy to manage, and compatible with SmartTV-based room infotainment.

Exterity, through Accommtec, deployed ArtioGuest middleware across six AIDA ships, powering more than 11,000 guest and crew cabins with customizable TV interfaces, on-demand content, safety information, live broadcasts, and digital signage. The system also enabled guests to book excursions, buy movies, and access bills and messages from their rooms, while improving crew welfare and centralizing public-screen management; AIDA reported that the installation was seamless and exceeded expectations.
