Case Study: Solar Turbines achieves faster, fresher global data access with Express Analytics

A Express Analytics Case Study

Preview of the Solar Turbines Case Study

Leading Power Corporation, Solar Turbines optimizes data loading and warehouse availability for International Markets

Solar Turbines, a global manufacturer of industrial gas turbines, was struggling with an enterprise data warehouse that took about 12 hours to load, leaving data two days behind in some regions and the warehouse unavailable for 10–12 hours each day. Express Analytics helped the customer address the need for fresher data, faster queries, and a single, always-accessible source of information for global reporting.

Express Analytics redesigned the ETL architecture using Informatica and introduced Change Data Capture to avoid full DataMart refreshes, significantly shortening load cycles and enabling multiple refreshes per day. As a result, Solar Turbines achieved near-100% BI availability, fresher data, and a scalable environment supporting global operations, with the project also advancing toward migration from Oracle Warehouse Builder to Informatica.
