Cross-supplier collaboration drives enterprise-grade connectivity across the UK

Exponential-e worked with the Food Standards Agency (FSA), an independent UK government department responsible for food safety and hygiene standards, to simplify and modernise its connectivity estate. The FSA needed to centralise multiple managed services contracts under a SIAM model, support more than 173 plant sites and five main offices, and improve network reliability, visibility and user experience across a geographically dispersed organisation.

Exponential-e delivered a secure, high-performance network with fibre WAN links, centralised firewall protection, internet and colocation services, SSL VPN remote access for 1,200 users, and ongoing 24/7 service desk and monitoring via Insight Advanced and Insight for Broadband. The migration was completed with zero service disruption, improved cross-supplier collaboration, better reporting and visibility, and cost savings through the FSA’s Evergreen initiative, including upgrades from unused ADSL to FTTC across sites.
