Carers Trust - Customer Case Study

Carers Trust, the largest charity supporting unpaid carers, needed to modernise and unify its IT after a 2012 merger, connect multiple sites, support more remote workers, and reduce the burden on its small internal IT team. Exponential-e was brought in to provide network, cloud, and unified communications services, including a fibre-based WAN, managed firewall, hosted VoIP, and Office 365 migration.

Exponential-e implemented a five-site WAN with a VPLS core, 25Mb internet breakout, managed firewall, hosted VoIP, and Virtual Data Centre services, leaving Carers Trust with minimal on-premise infrastructure to manage. The result was a more secure, resilient, and easier-to-manage environment that improved collaboration across sites, centralized communications, and gave internal IT more time to focus on strategic work, while also helping the charity stay within budget.
