Allport Cargo Services, a global freight, supply chain and logistics company, needed to upgrade its WAN infrastructure to improve resilience, responsiveness and scalability across its UK sites. Working with Exponential-e, it wanted a more proactive service provider and added management, analysis and monitoring capabilities to support business growth and critical systems.

Exponential-e, together with Ideal Networks, migrated Allport to a VPLS Layer 2 network connecting nine sites as if they were on the same LAN, with dual carrier-agnostic routers for resilience and a tailored web portal for visibility. The new setup delivered 24/7 support, better bandwidth and proactive monitoring, helping Allport improve business continuity, speed up customer response times and move forward with previously delayed systems upgrades.
