A Exponential-e Case Study

Preview of the AMC Networks Case Study

A global media giant achieves an effortless move to hybrid working while embracing green technology

AMC Networks International (AMCNI), the global division of AMC Networks, needed to downsize its London office, support hybrid working, and relocate IT infrastructure from two onsite data centres before its lease expired. With 13 racks to move by the end of May and minimal disruption allowed for applications and media storage, AMCNI turned to Exponential-e for a fast, low-risk data centre relocation.

Exponential-e moved AMCNI’s equipment into two Tier 3 data centres with redundancy for production and disaster recovery, including support for prebuilt IBM racks and high-speed 10Gb links between sites plus 2Gb internet breakout. The result was a seamless shift to hybrid working, improved sustainability, and about £1.3 million in real-estate savings, while also reducing energy use and placing infrastructure in BREEAM-standard facilities powered by renewable energy.
