Norman Public Schools boosts math fact fluency to 100% with ExploreLearning Reflex

The customer, Norman Public Schools, faced significant gaps in students' foundational math skills and fact fluency, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic. To address this challenge, a 4th grade teacher introduced ExploreLearning and its Reflex program to the district after witnessing its effectiveness in a previous role.

ExploreLearning implemented Reflex, a program that uses engaging games to build math fact fluency. The solution resulted in rapid growth, with students across the entire building progressing from no fluency to high percentages of fluency. The excitement generated by Reflex also carried over to other math concepts and even led to the adoption of another ExploreLearning product, Frax. Teachers heavily utilized the program's data reporting for student motivation and to demonstrate impact to parents, confirming that the research-based intervention was working.
