Mannheim Township School District boosts math learning with ExploreLearning Gizmos 1-2 times per week

Mannheim Township School District, a school district in Pennsylvania, faced the challenge of engaging a diverse range of high school math learners and meeting the needs of students who learn in less traditional ways. To help address this, math teacher Jennifer Abel introduced ExploreLearning Gizmos into her standards-based grading and hybrid learning classroom model.

The solution implemented by ExploreLearning provided Gizmos, which were used for small group instruction and collaborative learning stations. These visual, interactive simulations helped students better understand graphical and geometric concepts. As a result of using ExploreLearning Gizmos, students gained a better conceptual understanding of the material, and the tool made it easier for the teacher to align content directly with her state standards and textbook.
