Upper Playground Enterprises, a progressive apparel retailer with ecommerce and multiple retail locations, needed a better way to update inventory in NetSuite after warehouse and store counts. Its handheld barcode scanners produced CSV files, but manual lookups and inventory adjustments were slow and cumbersome, so the company turned to Explore Consulting for a cost-effective solution using NetSuite.

Explore Consulting built a SuiteFlex solution with a custom record, CSV import template, and SuiteScript to automate inventory updates from the scanned data. The system checked SKU quantities against NetSuite records and created inventory adjustments when discrepancies were found, even handling large data loads. As a result, Upper Playground Enterprises streamlined a previously manual process, improved inventory accuracy, and reduced costs.
