USEK’s Office of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness Gets more Data with Lower Costs

Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) needed a better way to gather course feedback than paper forms, which were time consuming, costly, and limited to evaluating more than 25% of courses. The university’s Office of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness wanted higher quality data to support teaching and learning, so it turned to Explorance and Blue course evaluations software.

With Explorance Blue, USEK automated course evaluations and integrated the system with Banner, SMS, email, reminders, and mobile access. The university increased coverage from 25% to 95% of courses and achieved response rates of 88% to 93%, while also saving annually on paper and ink costs and extending the system to other surveys such as well-being and accreditation-related assessments.
