Case Study: University of Worcester improves student surveys and reporting with Explorance Blue

Supporting enhancement and closing the loop at the University of Worcester

The University of Worcester, a UK institution with approximately 10,000 students, was relying on paper surveys, manual spreadsheets, and limited reporting tools to manage student feedback. During Covid lockdown, those weaknesses became more visible, especially around closing the loop, data access, and participation across its academic schools.

The university selected Explorance and its Blue solution to support module evaluations, reporting, and survey management, including integrations with SITS, Blackboard Ultra, and MyDay. Early results included 1,000 more responses than the previous year, a 32% response rate on a larger project, and later increases in early feedback survey response rates from 32% to 36%, first semester module evaluations from 32% to 42%, and closing the loop reaching 60%.
