International School Creates A+ Performance Review System

Hong Kong International School needed a more consistent way to manage teacher evaluations, student and parent feedback, and year-to-year performance records across its two campuses. Its paper-based process was time-consuming, hard to track school-wide, and made it difficult for administrators to see trends or follow up in a timely way. HKIS selected Explorance Blue® course evaluations software to create a confidential, web-based system called eAPPLE.

With Explorance, HKIS centralized feedback and performance data so students and parents could submit forms online, results could be automatically tabulated, and teachers could control access to their personal information and reports. The school reported that feedback now reaches more teachers across the school, and one round of student feedback included over 1,500 students from grades 3 to 12. Administrators also gained a clearer whole-school view of evaluation data, while teachers received more useful comments and could use them to discuss the learning environment with students.
