Heartland Dental, a dental support organization with over 1,700 locations across the U.S., needed a better way to evaluate training across a diverse workforce. Its L&D team found that some classes were not well received, but those issues were hidden in broader data and difficult to identify without stronger comparison metrics.
Using Explorance Metrics That Matter, Heartland Dental benchmarked feedback, split one course into two separate offerings for doctors and administrators, and built dashboards to track course performance more clearly. The change improved engagement and satisfaction, and Scott Esker said it “greatly impacted retention and many other things” because participants liked the tailored courses more.
