Blue Plays a Central Role in Education Transformation at Monash University

Monash University, Australia’s largest and most international university, needed a better way to manage student feedback across four Australian campuses, two locations in Malaysia, and a campus in South Africa. With approximately 75,000 students and more than 6,000 educators, the university faced data governance issues, uneven use of survey data across faculties, and a need to reduce manual cleansing while improving response rates and question flexibility.

Explorance implemented Blue, giving Monash a streamlined platform for survey administration, reporting, and customised question design. The rollout went live without a technical hitch, supported 2,703 unit offerings, invited more than 60,000 students, and generated 194,000 individual surveys, with 3,100 staff receiving educator feedback. Monash also reported its highest response rate ever at 44 per cent and said the process had become largely automated.
