Blue Makes Online Course Evaluations Easy for Institutional Research and IT

Georgian College, in Barrie, Ontario, needed to move away from paper-based course evaluations and surveys and wanted a system that would fit its existing processes and integrate with current platforms. The college worked with Explorance and its Blue Learning Experience Management software to replace the old approach while supporting a phased rollout that staff and stakeholders could accept.

Explorance’s Blue connected with Georgian College’s student records database and integrated with Banner, Blackboard Learn, and Oracle HR, while Explorance Professional Services handled upgrade work, data cleanup, training, and consulting. After enabling Blue forms in Blackboard mobile, the college increased response rates by an average of 7%, and staff reported easier administration, faster turnaround, and more useful reporting.
