NHS Education for Scotland (NES) required rapid and rigorous functional testing for a scheduled upgrade to its Protect Scotland COVID-19 contact-tracing app. The challenge for Expleo was to assemble a new team and execute a high volume of tests across multiple mobile devices within an extremely tight, one-week deadline. This was critical as the app, classified as a medical device, needed water-tight assurance to protect public health.

The team conducted 88 tests across six devices, uncovering and fixing defects to ensure a successful deployment.
