QUT turns regional Queensland research into a storytelling tool with Explanimate

Explanimate was engaged by QUT to help bring to life a research initiative called RAPAD. The challenge was to translate extensive qualitative research on the role of arts and creativity in regional Australia into an engaging and accessible format that would resonate with both policymakers and the communities being represented.

Explanimate developed a documentary-style animated piece that used real interview-driven storytelling and visual metaphors. The solution was a nuanced and respectful film that let the community voices take center stage, resulting in a powerful core storytelling tool for RAPAD. The final animation successfully started conversations in policy, academic, and community settings.
