Sharp, a global consumer electronics manufacturer, faced the challenge of explaining its complex Plasmacluster air ionisation technology in a simple, visual way to reach potential customers, journalists, and influencers. The project required meticulous accuracy and needed to be understood by audiences with varying technical expertise. The vendor, ExplainVisually, was tasked with creating an explainer video to meet these goals.

ExplainVisually developed a concise animated video by first crafting a storyboard with protagonists representing the target audiences and using a superhero metaphor to illustrate the technology. The resulting animation was used in an extensive advertising campaign on social media and YouTube, and it was also sent to journalists and featured on major online websites, generating significant buzz and articles. The success of the project led to Sharp commissioning three additional projects from ExplainVisually.
