Black Diamond, a leading outdoor and climbing gear brand, needed to credibly enter the climbing shoe market and successfully launch a new product line through REI. To do that, they partnered with ExpertVoice to build trust with a highly loyal, expert-driven audience and support the launch with authentic recommendations.
ExpertVoice helped Black Diamond give REI associates exclusive early access to the shoes, invite top experts into a tester program, and capture educational engagement and firsthand reviews. The campaign generated nearly 1,400 expert engagements, selected 402 VIP REI experts to try the shoes pre-launch, and provided feedback that helped redesign one of the shoes. Black Diamond also published the expert reviews on its website, creating scalable content that supported both online and in-store sales.
