Expero worked with Seismic, a global energy company facing a major seismic data challenge: existing workstation-based software could not scale to terabyte-sized datasets, forcing slow batch processing and making it difficult to uncover drilling insights quickly. The customer needed an innovative yet familiar web-based experience for expert users in geophysics, seismic analysis, and drilling operations.

Expero designed and built a web-based high-performance computing and visualization platform for seismic processing and interpretation, including distributed in-memory compute infrastructure, 2D visualization, and full-stack cloud support. The solution enabled interactive processing of multi-TB prestack data at around 10 frames per second in a browser, with a first prototype in 3 months and V1.0 in 12 months, helping Seismic accelerate insights and reduce costly drilling missteps.
