Iconixx worked with Expero to modernize a legacy Java application used by finance experts to create, plan, and manage variable pay. The company wanted a more intuitive experience to replace a dated interface and reduce reliance on field engineers for complex modeling and rule building, especially as they moved to the cloud.

Expero delivered a new user experience using user research, UX design, and front-end UI templates, guided by lean user testing throughout the project. The result was an ecstatic response from users, with early wireframes prompting “Iconixx - you get it!”, and the UX work continues to inform product strategy, requirements, and roadmaps. The engagement ran for 18 months across 3 releases, with the first release completed in 3 months by a 5-person agile UX team.
