A Expero Case Study
Expero worked with a Consumer Retail Equipment Manufacturing Company facing a highly complex, decades-evolved supply chain across the United States. The company’s network had grown through local requests and ad hoc decisions, leaving it full of small distribution centers, messy data, and heavy reliance on tribal knowledge to meet customer SLAs. Expero helped address the challenge with supply chain optimization, simulation, and data science tools.
Expero built a delivery network simulator and geospatial optimization solution to identify the best future distribution center locations, model customer demand, and recommend how to assign customers to facilities. The company then implemented real-time freight truck packing, routing, and scheduling to improve operational efficiency across the new network. As a result, Expero reduced freight and distribution costs by more than 12% while creating a six-facility distribution network that maintained SLA performance and enabled more cost-effective shipping.
