Instant InfoSystems, a technology value-added reseller that provides document delivery and management solutions and prides itself on “absolute customer commitment,” faced slow, error-prone proposal production. Sales reps were using spreadsheets to calculate prices and costs and manually entering totals into Microsoft CRM, a process that took more than 30 minutes per quote and left room for mistakes.

Instant InfoSystems deployed the Experlogix configurator integrated with Microsoft CRM, migrating complex pricing formulas into Experlogix’s Formula and Rule Designer and enabling real-time tax calculations. The result: proposal time dropped to about five minutes (roughly an 80% reduction), order accuracy reached 100%, spreadsheets were eliminated, and quote-to-order and renewal quoting processes became much faster.
