AMX, a Richardson, TX–based supplier of control, automation and audio/video distribution systems used worldwide in conference rooms, classrooms, hotels and broadcast facilities, struggled with a cumbersome Excel-based quoting process that only eight internal designers could manage. The system caused delays and lost visibility—discount approvals were manual, forecasting and KPI reporting were inadequate, and dealers frequently asked for a self-service quoting option.
After a fast-track evaluation AMX selected Experlogix to integrate with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, replacing spreadsheets with a product configurator and dealer portal. The solution automated multi-level discount approvals, empowered sales reps and dealers to build accurate proposals from a 6,000+ product catalog, and shifted ownership from IT to the business; quotes rose from ~300 to over 700 per month (a 250% increase) while quote accuracy and reporting improved dramatically.
