Contech Building Products, established in 2003, distributes hybrid polymer adhesives, lubricants, screws and fittings (including flagship product Tec7) to builders’ merchants and DIY retailers across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. Facing an increasingly unmanageable, manual order process—sales reps spending time on the phone and administrators re-keying orders—Contech sought a mobile solution after implementing Intact iQ ERP to streamline field and van sales.
Contech implemented the Experlogix Digital Commerce VanSales app, giving reps online/offline access to live catalogues, multi-location stock, real-time pricing and customer accounts, and allowing orders to be placed directly into Intact iQ. Reps can complete sales end-to-end (quotes, negotiations, delivery, signatures, payments and proof of delivery), reducing admin to order review only and saving an estimated 4–5 man‑hours per day while improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
