Yucaipa Urgent Care, founded by Dr. Brian Bearie in 2012 and now operating six clinics, needed an urgent-care–focused technology partner to replace one-size-fits-all EMRs that slowed staff and frustrated patients. To scale and improve convenience for the 36,850 patients seen in 2017, Yucaipa sought a purpose-built solution and chose Experity’s DocuTAP platform (EMR, Practice Management, Clockwise.MD patient engagement, RCM, analytics, and consulting).
Experity implemented the full DocuTAP suite and Clockwise.MD, moved billing in-house with DocuTAP RCM, and streamlined workflows and patient engagement. The results: patient throughput dropped from about two hours to roughly 30–45 minutes (door-to-door consistently under an hour), more than 50% of patients reported improved appointments, billing is typically completed the day after visits instead of months later, and staff efficiency and patient satisfaction measurably increased across Yucaipa’s locations.
