First Med Urgent Care, a five-clinic urgent care serving about 200 patients per day in the Oklahoma City area, faced billing and visibility problems from an inadequate practice management system and poor technical support that led to missed charges and inefficient workflows. To address this, First Med chose Experity’s DocuTAP platform (EMR, Practice Management, Analytics) and complemented the rollout with a creative training-incentive program to drive rapid staff adoption.

Experity implemented DocuTAP in a phased five-week go‑live with on-site training, a dedicated project manager, weekly implementation calls, and role-based LMS courses; the results included average days-to-bill of about four days (often 1–2), 50% of providers comfortable within two weeks, reports that once took days now generated in minutes, cleaner claims and better E/M coding capturing previously missed charges, and faster insurance verification—delivering clear operational and revenue improvements.
