AppleCare Urgent Care, an 11-location, 170-staff urgent care operator in Georgia, was growing rapidly but hampered by a legacy EMR that couldn’t scale, enforce documentation standards, or manage user permissions. To solve these challenges they selected Experity and its DocuTAP EMR/PM platform (supported by consulting and business intelligence services) to provide a configurable, urgent care–focused technology foundation.
Experity deployed a phased rollout with super-user support, standardized templates and permission controls, and a lab interface that pulls results directly into the chart. As a result AppleCare shortened patient visits by 15–30 minutes, cut documentation time by about 20 minutes per chart, improved E/M coding accuracy and timely reimbursements, and made staff training and clinic expansion significantly easier.
