A Experity Case Study
American Family Care, a physician‑owned urgent care operator with over 40 clinics across the Southeast, struggled with a slow, self‑hosted EMR that forced staff to document on paper, created duplicate workflows, and prevented physicians from attesting for Meaningful Use. To address these operational and compliance challenges, American Family Care selected Experity’s DocuTAP platform as their new cloud‑based EMR and practice management solution.
Experity implemented DocuTAP’s Meaningful Use–certified, mobile EMR—including the real‑time “chart room” and tablet access—allowing multiple staff to work in a chart simultaneously and streamlining clinic workflows. The change cut average patient door‑to‑door time from about 75 to 60 minutes (saving 10–15 minutes per visit), enabled one additional patient per provider per hour, supported rapid rollout (26 clinics in nine weeks), and helped 95% of full‑time physicians attest for Meaningful Use; staff surveys showed strong gains in efficiency and usability.
