Scripps Clinic, a San Diego-based multi-specialty group practice with more than 400 physicians in 50 specialties, needed a better way to monitor the performance of 35 payer contracts generating more than 2 million claims annually. Using Experian Health’s Contract Manager, Scripps Clinic was able to verify contractual allowed amounts, identify underpayments, and appeal recovery opportunities more effectively. The results included $10.6 million recovered in underpaid claims over nine years, improved workflow efficiency, faster appeals, better revenue forecasting, and stronger payment accuracy oversight.
