Global Supply Chain Company, one of the world’s largest specialty retailers with a global network of vendors across Europe and Asia, was struggling with inconsistent product descriptions on vendor commercial invoices. These descriptions often did not match the legal tariff descriptions maintained in Tradeflow, creating delays, heavy back-and-forth with its broker, Expeditors, and potential customs audit risk.

To solve the issue, Expeditors and the retailer used Tradeflow’s web-based Product Management Centre so vendors could pull approved item descriptions directly from the system rather than create their own. The retailer linked vendors to products and granted controlled viewing access, improving consistency and compliance; the result was a substantial increase in invoice accuracy and process efficiency, with more than 800 users across a few hundred vendors eventually using Tradeflow.
