Case Study: Bouchard Insurance achieves minute-level disaster recovery and business resilience with Expedient Push Button DR

A Expedient Case Study

Preview of the Bouchard Insurance Case Study

Bouchard Insurance Uses Push Button DR for Proactive Business Resilience from Natural Disaster

Bouchard Insurance, an independent Florida-based personal and commercial insurance agency with offices across the state, needed a more robust disaster recovery solution for its virtual desktop infrastructure to protect clients and support a five-person IT team facing frequent hurricane risk. After evaluating providers, Bouchard selected Expedient and its Push Button DR offering to meet requirements for VDI recovery, geographic diversity, and seamless network failover.

Expedient implemented its Push Button DR (with private cloud and storage/firewall services) to enable turnkey failover to a data center nearly 1,000 miles away while preserving Bouchard’s IP scheme; after six to eight iterative tests the team was ready. When Hurricane Irma threatened, Bouchard proactively failed over three days before landfall and completed the failover in 12 minutes, operated on the backup site for a week, then failed back—reducing recovery time from up to 48 hours to mere minutes and ensuring continuous availability and risk mitigation thanks to Expedient.
